800 Voice Mail Quick Setup Tutorials

Classic Messenger Quick Setup Guide

To setup your mailbox.

1. Dial your voicemail system's assigned telephone number.
2. You will hear a voice telling you "this mailbox has not been setup yet...".  While this message is playing press the * key.
3. You will be prompted for a password.  Enter the password appropriate for the box number selected.
4. You will taken through a tutorial asking you to say your name (for the Company directory); to speak the greeting you want your callers to hear; to change your password to something more personal, and to enter the telephone number that you would like to be reached at when new messages arrive.  Make sure to complete the tutorial or you will have to start over.  When you are finished, you will hear "you have no messages."  At this point simply hang up. Your personal box has now been set up.

Virtual Office/PBX Quick Setup Guide

To record your main company greeting:

1. Dial your voicemail system's assigned telephone number.
2. You will hear a voice telling you "this Virtual PBX is under construction...".  While this message is playing press the * key.
3. You will be prompted for a password. Enter the "greeting record" password that was assigned.
4. At this point simply follow the prompts you will hear to set up the main greeting.   Make sure to record the business hours greeting and the after hours greeting.
5. When finished, simply hang up.

To setup individual virtual office/PBX mailboxes.

1. Select the box for which you wish to create a greeting and re-dial the voice mail number.
2. Press the # key. You will be asked to enter the box number.
3. You will be prompted for a password.  Enter the 5 digit password appropriate for the box number selected.
4. You will taken through a tutorial asking you to say your name (for the Company directory); to speak the greeting you want your callers to hear; to change your password to something more personal, and to enter the telephone number that you would like to be reached at when new messages arrive.  Make sure to complete the tutorial or you will have to start over.  When you are finished, you will hear "you have no messages."  At this point simply hang up. Your personal box has now been set up.

Repeat steps 1 thru 4 for each box greeting that needs to be set up.
